Doctoral studies represent the third cycle of university studies according to the Bologna system, organized in universities that have the status of Organizational Institutes of Doctoral Studies (IOSUD).
The University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest is accreditated as a IOSUD institution and doctoral studies have been reorganized within the Doctoral School for Engineering and Management of Vegetable and Animal Resources and the Doctoral School of Veterinary Medicine.
Doctoral schools operate on the basis of the Ph.D. of the Doctoral Degree Code approved by the Government Decision no. 681/2011 and on the basis of the Regulation for organization and functioning of Ph.D. studies, approved by the Senate of the USAMV Bucharest in the meeting dated 03.08.2011.
Within USAMV, the doctorate is organized in the fields of: Agronomy, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology, and Engineering and Management in Agriculture and Rural Development.
